Tibor de Machula was for many years lead cellist of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra and this MP3 comes from a rare recording on the Philips label where he plays a selection from Bach's Cello Suites.

Andre Gavrilov burst onto the world stage in the 1970s after winning the International Tchaikovsky competition at the ripe old age of 18. This MP3 comes from a Melodiya recording and pressing of the Bach French Suites BWV 812-817 which was also released on EMI CD in their Twofer series.
